Year 1
Year 1 have been been studying the
work of 16th century Italian artist Archimboldo. They have tried really
hard to recreate his work by making some spectacular fruit sculptures.

Year 2
Year 2 have been learning about life in London before, during and after
the great fire in 1666.
They have been read non-fiction books, looked at paintings, read
eye-witness accounts and also looked at websites which showed how the fire
spread.
All of this information helped them to write their own accounts of the
great fire of London. The children also put themselves in the position of
key people involved in the story: Samuel Peyps, King Charles II, Thomas
Farrinor and the Londoners when they re-enacted the story. One thing is
for sure, we definitely have some budding actors in year 2!
Why not come and see our fantastic displays and even watch a video of
the re-enactment.
Recently year 2 have also been working on puppets.
